Who we are
Law office Ružička Csekes s.r.o. in association with members of CMS was established in June 2009 through the merger of two leading independent law firms: Ružička & Partners, s.r.o. (originally Law Office Jaroslav Ružička) and CVD s.r.o. (originally Csekes, Világi, Drgonec & Partners spol. s r.o.), both of which had been active in the Slovak legal services market since 1992. The merged firm was able to tap into the vast experience of its founders who are both highly regarded in the Slovak legal market.
As the largest commercial law firm in Bratislava, we are able to offer a wide range of general and specialist legal services and to field teams capable of managing the largest projects and transactions. It is thanks to the merger that our lawyers are able to specialise and provide expert advice on all areas of commercial law in all the key industry sectors. Our experience includes corporate and commercial legal advice, antitrust/competition, real estate, intellectual property law, dispute resolution and banking and finance, including project financing – we have been very successful advising clients involved in large infrastructure, energy and real estate projects.
In addition to legal advice, we provide consultancy in tax and business accounting through our exclusive alliance with companies from the CCS Group and, occasionally, through other leading international tax advisory organisations.
Since 2004, the office has been in association with CMS Cameron McKenna v.o.s. and CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz Rechtsanwälte GmbH, members of the CMS organisation of European law firms. This association, and the direct contact it brings with leading European institutions, enhances our ability to deal not only with local and national matters but also with those requiring a strong knowledge of EU law. Presently, the CMS organisation of firms operates in over 54 offices throughout the world and has over 600 partners, and more than 2,800 legal and tax advisors. Access to this pool of expertise means our office can offer comprehensive, full-service, legal and tax advice individually tailored to large and medium-sized companies and financial institutions doing business in Slovakia.
Our firm is also a member of several well-known and highly regarded international networks and societies, including OASIS (a worldwide society of lawyers specialising in international legal services) and State Capital Group (an integrated global network of over 140 independent law firms).
In addition, we are members of various chambers of commerce operating in Slovakia, including: the Slovak-Austrian Chamber of Commerce; the Slovak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the Israeli Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia; the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic; and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic.
